I have worked in a shop on Getreidegasse for years, so I know the wrought-iron guild signs above each doorway better than almost anyone giving tours here. On camera I stay close to the signs, explaining which trades they represent and which shops still use the old symbols honestly. I keep the pace slow through the old town's narrow lanes, since the street is easy to rush through without noticing anything above eye level. I answer questions about daily life in the old town as much as its history, since that is what I actually know best.
