I grew up hearing stories about Via Veneto's cafes from my grandfather, who worked as a waiter there during the years the street was known across the world for its glamour. On camera I walk the street explaining what remains of that period and what has changed since, pointing out a few original cafe facades still standing among newer businesses. I like showing the street as it actually is today rather than only through old photographs, since the contrast says more than either version alone.
