I live a short walk from Meia Praia and spend more mornings than I probably should just watching the tide move along that long stretch of sand. Most visitors know Lagos for its cliffs and coves, but this beach runs for kilometres in the opposite direction and stays far quieter, especially early on. On camera I walk the sand slowly and point out the dunes that separate it from the road, and on a call instead I answer questions directly about timing and tides rather than walking at all. Four years of guiding has taught me most people just want an honest read on when to go.
