I have climbed the four hundred and eighteen steps up to Aksla more times than I can count, first as a teenager on a dare and now most days for work. My main session climbs the stairway and films the view from the top, the whole town laid out across its islands with the fjords running off in different directions. A second, flatter session follows Molovegen around the point, where the open sea replaces the sheltered fjord view. I keep both sessions honest about the effort involved, since the climb is real even if the camera makes it look easier than it is.
