History is my subject, and Aix gives me two thousand years of it inside one short walk, from the springs the Romans built baths around to the cloister at Saint-Sauveur. I studied local history before I ever picked up a phone to guide with, and I still check a date against a written source before I say it out loud. On camera I try to slow down at a carved detail rather than naming every building in a street, because a name without an image never sticks.
