Thomas Krause

I trained as a church musician before I began guiding, and Thomaskirche is still the building I know best in the city, down to which floor tiles creak during a quiet passage. My sessions focus closely on Bach's 27 years here as cantor, since I think that detail gets lost when a guide tries to cover the whole city at once. I keep a fairly formal pace, laying out dates and names clearly, though I always welcome questions about the music itself.
