Thomas Leroy

The Palais des Beaux-Arts holds the second-largest art collection in France, and I still find a painting I had not properly looked at before most weeks I talk about it. I trained as an art historian in Lille and worked inside the museum before I started guiding on camera instead of walking groups through the rooms myself. On camera I like to describe a single canvas in enough detail that it actually comes across rather than listing a whole wall of names. English and French cover nearly every call I take. I keep a formal pace throughout since the collection deserves more than a quick pass.
