Tomas Jankauskas

I grew up in Trakai, the lake town with the red brick island castle, and I still know the Karaim families who bake kibinai, pastries filled with mutton or cabbage that the Karaim community brought from Crimea six centuries ago. In Vilnius I run an evening of Lithuanian food: cepelinai, the huge potato dumplings, cold beetroot soup in summer, and beer from small breweries in the north of the country. Children are welcome. Today my sessions are live video walks through Vilnius; you join from home, and I answer whatever you ask as we go.
