Turiddu Bonaccorso

I studied archaeology and worked for a time cataloguing finds from digs around the city, so Catania's layered history under the modern streets is what draws me back on camera again and again. I like showing the castle's exterior and explaining how it once stood right on the coast before lava flows pushed the shoreline back over the centuries. From there I usually move to the Roman theatre or the amphitheatre remains under Piazza Stesicoro, since both show how much of ancient Catania survives just beneath the surface. I have guided for close to a decade now.
