I grew up in East Berlin, and Alexanderplatz is still the square I know best, since it was built as a showcase for the whole East German state and I remember what it looked like before reunification changed the shops around it. On camera I like standing back far enough to take in the TV Tower's full height before moving closer to the square itself. I keep a brief, practical pace and enjoy questions comparing the square then and now. I think video works especially well here, since the scale of the tower is hard to appreciate in a single photograph.
