About this tour
This session looks more closely at Alexanderplatz's East German design, from the rotating World Clock to the wider Fernsehturm plaza. You see a landmark that has served as a well-known gathering spot since the 1960s, listing cities according to the world as East Germany saw it. The session finishes across the plaza, with a fountain and layout designed to match the state's own sense of scale.
We start with a short sound check by the clock. I move slowly across the plaza and take questions about the square's planning and its symbolism throughout. Afterwards I send a short note on how the square has changed since reunification.
This suits anyone interested in East German design and propaganda through architecture. It also works well alongside the TV Tower session for a fuller picture.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
