Uxía Vázquez

I studied art history in Santiago and spent two years working as an official guide inside the cathedral before the platform existed, so I know the building's Romanesque bones as well as its Baroque skin. On camera I start most sessions in Praza do Obradoiro, where pilgrims arrive after weeks of walking, and let the square's own energy carry the first few minutes before I say much at all. Inside, filming is normal and I explain the layers of construction from the outside first when it is not. I like that a screen lets someone who will never walk the Camino themselves still arrive at that same square.
