I lead most of my sessions outside the centre, along the Appian Way, where the old paving stones are still the ones Roman legions once marched on. On camera I keep the phone low on the road surface itself, since the wear in the stone tells a clearer story than any plaque beside it. At the catacombs I stay in the entrance garden, since filming underground is not something the site allows, and at the Baths of Caracalla I try to show the scale of the ruins by keeping people in the same shot for comparison.
