Place des Vosges is one of the oldest planned squares in Paris, and the streets around it still hold some of the best small food shops in the city. I worked in one of those shops for years before guiding became my main job. On camera I keep a brisk, direct pace between the square and a handful of shopfronts nearby. I reply fast and prefer short exchanges over long explanations. French and English both work for my calls, and I know exactly which shops are worth the detour.
