Wiktor Zielinski

I worked as a mining engineer before I started guiding, so Wieliczka Salt Mine is where I feel most useful on camera, even from the surface buildings and entrance shaft rather than deep underground. I explain how the mine operated continuously for centuries and what the chapels and chambers below actually looked like, using photographs to fill in what the camera cannot reach from outside. I also cover the shaft tower itself, a working piece of mining engineering in its own right. Video works well for the parts I can reach, and I am honest about where it cannot follow.
