About this tour

This call is a planning session for anyone considering a visit underground at Wieliczka Salt Mine. I talk through the chambers and chapels using photographs, since filming inside is not permitted, and explain what a visit actually involves. By the end you have a realistic sense of what to expect.

We start with a short sound check, then I share images of the mine's chambers as we talk through timing and what each part of the visit involves. You can ask questions about any part of it, and I send a short list of tips in writing afterwards.

It suits anyone planning the visit who wants a clearer picture before committing to it. It also works well booked alongside the surface session at the mine.

  • Honest tips on where to eat, stay and what to skip

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
