Forum des Cardeurs after dark
Highlights
- A small square filling with noise
- Aix after the shops close
- Terraces from the outside, on camera
- One corner, watched as it changes
- The old town's evening rhythm
About this tour
This short session shows Forum des Cardeurs at the hour it comes alive, when the terraces around the square fill with people and the noise builds. You see how a small space in the old town turns into the city's busiest corner after dark, and how one terrace fills first and empties last. It is a single square watched closely rather than a route between distant stops.
We stay in and around the square for most of the call, since it does the work itself, and I talk through what changes as the evening goes on. Questions come in throughout, and I will turn the camera toward whatever someone asks about. A short note on the square's history follows afterwards.
This suits anyone curious about how Aix spends its evenings rather than its landmarks. It also works well as a shorter add-on to an earlier daytime session.

Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 5 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Aix-en-Provence before heading out.
-
Forum des Cardeurs 15 min
The camera settles on the small square as the terraces fill and the noise level lifts. I point out how a space this size holds so many bars and restaurants and explain how the square empties out again by the early hours.
-
One terrace up close 15 min
The camera moves in on a single terrace, close enough to see how the tables get rearranged as the evening goes on. I explain why this particular corner of the square fills up first and empties out last.
-
Your questions 7 min
Time to ask anything about Aix-en-Provence: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 3 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Soupe au pistou and Forum des Cardeurs, worth a slower look.
Good to know

- Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
- Times are shown in Paris time, so check the time where you are before you book.
- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
- Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
- Sessions run in small groups, up to 12 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

Can I ask the guide questions during the session, or is it a fixed script?
Anything, any time. Sessions leave room for your own questions throughout, not just at the end.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
