Samanpazarı bazaar, copperware and antiques, on camera
Highlights
- Hammered copper trays and pots
- A craft passed down for generations
- A stall of older household items
- Coins and roughly dated pieces
- A quiet market near the castle
About this tour
This session moves through Samanpazarı, a market near the old castle known for copperware and antiques. You see hammered copper trays and pots stacked at one stall, then a smaller corner of older household items and coins further along. The session focuses on trades that have quietly continued here for generations.
I begin with a sound check at the copperware stalls, then we move to the antique corner while you ask questions about the pieces. I explain roughly how old a few of the items are thought to be. At the end I send a short note on what we saw.
This suits anyone who enjoys markets that sell more than food. It also works well paired with a session at the nearby castle.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
