About this tour
This session covers the Markt and the Belfry that rises above it, the heart of Bruges' old centre. You see the gabled guild houses around the square and the statue at its centre, then stop at the base of the tower to hear about its 366 steps and its carillon. It is a focused look at the square most visitors see first.
We start with a sound check on the square, since it can be busy with visitors and horse-drawn carriages. I move to the Belfry base for the second stop and take your questions about the tower or the square's history as we go. A short reading list follows by message afterwards.
It suits anyone with limited time who still wants a proper explanation of Bruges' central square. It also works well as an opening session before a longer walk through the centre.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
