Palace of Parliament, from outside
Highlights
- A neighbourhood demolished for one building
- Among the largest buildings anywhere
- A boulevard built to match its width
- Ceaușescu-era Bucharest, explained
- The palace, seen at true scale
About this tour
This session shows the Palace of Parliament, one of the largest administrative buildings in the world, built under Ceaușescu. You see the wide approach first, then a longer look at the building's scale from one side, finishing on Unirii Boulevard with the palace framed by its matching fountains. The camera stays outside the building throughout.
We open with a short sound check on the approach. I keep a formal, detailed pace and take questions about the neighbourhood demolished to build it as we go. Afterwards I send a short note on the building's statistics and history.
This suits anyone wanting to properly grasp the scale of Bucharest's best-known building. It also works well as a first session before the rest of the capital's history.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide

- A short list of places to visit later

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
