Unirii Boulevard and the palace district

- Ceaușescu-era planning, explained
- The palace district, seen whole
- Bucharest's grandest avenue
About this tour
This session walks Unirii Boulevard, the wide avenue built to rival the grand boulevards of other European capitals. You see the boulevard's full width before the camera settles at the fountains lining it, built to match the Palace of Parliament at one end. The session stays along this single stretch.
We open with a short sound check partway along the boulevard. I keep a formal, steady pace and take questions about the district's planning as we go. Afterwards I send a short note on how the boulevard compares with others in Europe.
This suits anyone wanting a wider sense of the district around the palace. It also works well paired with the Palace of Parliament session.

- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
