About this tour
This short call is a briefing on how Czech puppetry survived through periods when other art forms faced restriction, given by someone trained in the craft. Lucie explains why marionettes escaped some of the scrutiny other performance traditions faced. She also covers how the craft has been preserved and passed down since.
Lucie opens by asking what you already know about the tradition, then builds the fuller picture from there. She answers questions throughout, since the call runs more like a conversation than a lecture. A short note on where to see a performance follows the call.
This suits anyone who has already seen the workshop session and wants the historical and political context. It also suits viewers who cannot join a live session but want the fuller story.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
