Lucie Zemanová

I trained in traditional Czech puppetry before I started guiding, and I still think it is one of the country's least understood art forms abroad. My sessions cover the history of the marionette tradition here and how it survived through difficult political periods when other art forms were restricted. I like explaining the craft behind a single puppet rather than rushing through general history. My style is warm, and I always leave proper time for questions.
