About this tour
This session looks at a castle held by the same family for nearly eight centuries and the walled gardens on its grounds, told by someone who worked there as a groundskeeper. You see the castle's turreted exterior and the plant collections in the walled gardens up close. It stays on the estate grounds throughout, moving at a relaxed pace.
After a short sound check outside the castle, I walk the grounds stop by stop, sharing details from years of actual grounds work alongside the estate's documented history. I take questions live as they come and send a short note afterwards on visiting the castle's interior.
It suits anyone interested in estate history and gardens, and anyone deciding whether to visit the castle's interior themselves.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
