A cliffside bar at sunset
Highlights
- A bar built into a gap in the walls
- A cliff edge facing open sea
- Sunset explained from the rock itself
- An unusual angle on the old town
- Dubrovnik's evening turn, live
About this tour
This session walks out to one of Dubrovnik's cliffside bars, reached through a narrow gap built into the old walls, timed for sunset. You see the passage itself, never designed to hold a bar, and then the cliff edge with open sea stretching out as the light fades. It is one of the most distinctive settings in the old town for watching the evening turn.
We walk out with a sound check, then settle at the cliff edge for the second stop, taking questions as the light changes around us. A short note follows once the session ends.
It suits anyone who wants Dubrovnik's evening side shown from an unusual angle. It also suits a booking timed precisely for sunset, since the light is the whole point.

Itinerary

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Dubrovnik before heading out.
-
Through a gap in the walls 15 min
The camera passes through a narrow gap in the old walls, and I explain how these cliffside bars grew up in spaces never meant to hold one.
-
The cliff edge 15 min
At the cliff edge, I turn the phone out toward the open sea as the sun drops behind the horizon.
-
Your questions 7 min
Time to ask anything about Dubrovnik: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 3 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Pošip and Plavac Mali wine and Ploče, worth a slower look.
Good to know
- A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
- Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
- Times are shown in Zagreb time, so check the time where you are before you book.
- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
- Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
- Sessions run in small groups, up to 9 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
