Rafael Masó's Girona, from the riverbank
Highlights
- The home of Girona's own Modernisme architect
- Coloured window frames from the riverbank
- Ceramic details from an early style
- One building, closely explained
- Modernisme beyond Barcelona's Gaudí
About this tour
This short session looks at Girona's own Modernisme through the house of architect Rafael Masó. You see his family home from the riverside and the coloured window frames and ceramic details that mark his early style. It is a focused look at one building rather than a wide sweep of the city.
I start on the riverbank opposite the house and move along for a second angle as the light changes. I take questions on the architecture and the family history throughout, and send a short note on what we covered.
This suits anyone interested in early twentieth-century architecture beyond Gaudí's Barcelona. It also works well paired with a session on the Onyar houses for a fuller riverside picture.

- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
