- Evening walk up the Camino del Sacromonte

About this tour
This session climbs the Camino del Sacromonte after dark, from the cave dwellings on the hillside to a cave venue for a zambra, the Roma flamenco native to the quarter. You see the Alhambra lit up across the valley from a cave bar terrace. It is Granada's cave district shown at the hour it comes alive.
A brief sound check opens the call, then the guide climbs stop by stop, timing the walk to the performance. You can ask questions between stops, and a short list of the places mentioned follows by message afterwards.
This suits anyone curious about flamenco traditions beyond the tourist stages. It also suits viewers who like their history told with a view attached.

- Live video walk with a local guide

Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 7 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Granada before heading out.
-
Camino del Sacromonte 21 min
The camera follows the evening walk up the Camino del Sacromonte, the path lined with cave dwellings cut into the hillside. The guide points out where the 1963 floods once swept through and emptied many of the caves.
-
Zambra in a cave 21 min
Inside a cave venue, the camera shows a zambra, the Roma wedding flamenco particular to Sacromonte, with the dancers close enough to see the footwork clearly. The guide explains how the style differs from flamenco performed in a theatre.
-
Cave bar and the lit Alhambra 21 min
From a cave bar terrace, the camera looks back across the valley at the Alhambra lit up against the night sky. The guide has one drink at the bar and talks through how the quarter has changed since the floods.
-
Your questions 14 min
Time to ask anything about Granada: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 6 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Piononos and Albaicín, worth a slower look.

- Sessions run in small groups, up to 10 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
