About this tour
This session stays in Höhematte, the open meadow at the centre of Interlaken, for one of the clearest views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau anywhere in town. You see the three peaks lined up from the meadow's open grass and, more often than not, a paraglider landing nearby. Fabian explains why this flat strip of land between two lakes became the natural gathering point for the whole valley.
He sets up early, before the meadow fills with people, and lets the mountains do most of the talking. Questions come as they arise, and he points out whichever peak the light happens to catch best that day.
This suits a first session for anyone new to the Jungfrau region, giving the geography a clear shape before anything else. It also works well for repeat viewers checking conditions before a longer trip.
