Bebek's café shoreline
Highlights
- Bebek's shoreline café row
- Decades-old spots beside new arrivals
- A small mosque anchoring the neighbourhood
- A relaxed stretch of the Bosphorus
- How a neighbourhood keeps its character
About this tour
This session follows Bebek's shoreline café row, from its older establishments to newer arrivals, ending at the small waterfront mosque that marks its edge. You see the contrast between decades-old cafés and recent additions along the same short stretch. Mert explains how the neighbourhood has both kept its character and changed at the same time.
The call opens with a sound check at one end of the row, then follows the shoreline toward the mosque. Mert answers questions about specific cafés and sends a short note afterwards on the neighbourhood's recent changes.
This suits anyone who wants a relaxed, café-focused side of the Bosphorus. It also pairs well with the wooden houses session in neighbouring Arnavutköy.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
