Kanlıca's yoghurt village
Highlights
- A village built around one product
- Thick yoghurt, generations in the making
- A ferry pier visited just for the taste
- What makes the local version distinct
- Kanlıca's identity, explained
About this tour
This session stays with Kanlıca's small waterfront, built almost entirely around a single local product, a distinctly thick style of yoghurt. You see the shops that have sold it for generations and the ferry pier where visitors arrive specifically for it. Aslı explains what actually makes the local version different from yoghurt sold elsewhere in the city.
The call opens with a sound check at the shops, then moves toward the ferry pier as Aslı explains the village's identity around this one product. She answers questions live and sends a short note afterwards on which shop she rates highest.
This suits anyone interested in how a single food can define a whole place. It also pairs well with the fish market session in nearby Sarıyer.
Included
- Live video session with a local guide
- A close look at the dishes and where locals buy them
- A short list of places and dishes to try later
Not included
- Food and drinks shown on camera

- Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.

- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.

- Sessions run in small groups, up to 10 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
