Dzintari's pine forest and its concert hall
Highlights
- A forest built on stabilised dunes
- An open-air concert hall, from outside
- Decades of summer festivals, explained
- Wooden walkways through the pines
- Nature and culture in one short walk
About this tour
This session follows a wooden walkway through the pine forest at Dzintari and finishes outside the open-air concert hall. You see how the dunes were stabilised to support both the trees and the resort built among them, then reach the venue that has hosted summer festivals for decades. It links Jūrmala's nature and its cultural life in one short walk.
I start with a sound check under the pines, since wind through the trees can carry, then move stop by stop with time for questions at each pause. A short note on the concert hall's season follows by message afterwards.
It suits anyone interested in landscape design or open-air music venues. It also works well before a longer villa or beach session.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
