About this tour
This session covers Lille's central square, from the stepped Flemish gables framing it to the courtyard of the old stock exchange just behind. Camille explains how the buildings were rebuilt after wartime damage while keeping centuries-old detailing. The walk finishes at the theatre on the square's northern edge, where three different architectural styles sit within a few metres of each other.
Camille opens with a short sound check from the middle of the square before moving to the old stock exchange. She keeps a steady pace through the three stops, answering questions about the square's rebuilding as they arrive, and sends a short list of the buildings covered once the call ends.
It suits anyone starting their first look at Lille from its most central point. It also works well for viewers interested in how European cities rebuilt after wartime damage.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
