About this tour
This session covers Ljubljana's alternative side, starting at Metelkova, the former army barracks occupied in 1993, and its courtyards of graffiti and sculpture. It also takes in Rog, the old bicycle factory nearby, and the long argument over its future. It is a different Ljubljana from the postcard old town.
The guide opens with a sound check, then moves between Metelkova and Rog, letting the camera linger on the art before taking questions. A short list of what was covered is sent once the call is over.
This suits anyone interested in squat culture, street art or how cities argue over old buildings. It also suits younger travellers looking past the usual sights.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
