Museum of Cinematography from the palace steps
Highlights
- Poznanski Palace's ornate main facade
- A grand staircase, seen up close
- Early cinema pieces near the entrance
- One family's wealth, on display
- A compact look at a grand building
About this tour
This shorter session focuses on a single building, Poznanski Palace, and the Museum of Cinematography now inside it. You see the ornate main facade up close, then the grand staircase just past the entrance, with a few pieces from the early cinema collection visible from there. It is a compact look at one of Lodz's grandest buildings and what it holds today.
We keep this one tight, with a short sound check outside before moving to the entrance hall for the rest of the time. I explain the family history and the museum collection as we go and leave room for questions throughout.
It suits anyone with limited time who still wants a proper look at one of Lodz's landmark buildings. It also works as a short add-on before a longer session elsewhere in the city.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide

Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 5 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Lodz before heading out.
-
Poznanski Palace facade 15 min
The session opens outside the palace's ornate main facade, and I explain how the family used the building to display their wealth to the rest of the city.
-
Museum entrance hall 15 min
From just inside the entrance, the camera shows the grand staircase, and I point out a few objects from the museum's early cinema collection visible from that spot.
-
Your questions 7 min
Time to ask anything about Lodz: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 3 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Paczki and Srodmiescie, worth a slower look.
Good to know

- Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
- Times are shown in Warsaw time, so check the time where you are before you book.
- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
- Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
- Sessions run in small groups, up to 7 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
