Marek Wisniewski

I studied at the Lodz Film School myself, though I ended up guiding rather than directing, and I still get a small thrill walking past the building where Polanski and Wajda once sat in lectures. My sessions look at how a city with almost no old town became a great centre of cinema, and I try to connect what you see on screen with specific corners of Lodz the students actually used. I also guide through the Museum of Cinematography inside Poznanski Palace, pointing the camera at pieces most visitors walk straight past. A route talked through on a call works well too.
