About this tour
This evening walk covers pub and theatre history around Soho and Covent Garden, from the Lamb and Flag to a Soho pub once used by Dylan Thomas and Francis Bacon. You hear backstage stories from eight years working in the West End, along with the ghosts and superstitions theatre staff still take seriously. It ends near Seven Dials as the theatres empty out for the night.
The session starts with a sound check, then moves pub to pub between the two areas, with time for a longer story at each stop. Questions are welcome throughout, and a short list of the pubs and the shows connected to them follows afterwards.
This suits theatre fans and anyone curious about what happens backstage once the curtain falls. It also suits those who know these streets for shopping and want the pub history underneath them.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
