Muelle Uno, the harbour promenade
Highlights
- A lighthouse since the 1800s
- Docks turned into a promenade
- A city reconnected to its water
- Palms lining the walkway
- Harbour lights coming on
About this tour
This session walks Muelle Uno at dusk, from the harbour lighthouse to the palm-lined promenade that now runs along what were once working docks. You see the lights coming on over the water as the evening settles in. The route stays flat and easy, built around the changing light rather than covering much distance.
We begin at the lighthouse with a quick check of the fading light, then walk the promenade, pausing to explain the redevelopment's history along the way. I keep the talking light and answer questions as they come.
This suits anyone who wants a calm evening session after a day of denser history, and travellers who enjoy watching a harbour come alive at dusk. It works well as a closing session before dinner.

Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 5 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Malaga before heading out.
-
The lighthouse, La Farola 15 min
The camera settles on the harbour's lighthouse, marking the entrance to the port since the 19th century, and I explain how the surrounding docks were redeveloped into a public promenade only in the last two decades.
-
The promenade at dusk 15 min
You see the wide walkway lined with palms as the harbour lights come on, and I point out how the redevelopment reconnected the old town to the water after decades of industrial use blocking access.
-
Your questions 7 min
Time to ask anything about Malaga: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 3 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Ajoblanco and Pedregalejo, worth a slower look.
Good to know
- A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
- Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
- Times are shown in Madrid time, so check the time where you are before you book.
- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
- Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
- Sessions run in small groups, up to 12 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
