About this tour

This session walks Parque de Málaga, a palm-lined garden built on land reclaimed from the old harbour road, from its main avenue to a shaded row of tiled benches. You see a genuinely local corner of the city between the old town and the port. The route stays flat and calm, built for an unhurried morning pace.

We begin at the avenue with a quick check of the morning light, then move to the benches, pausing to explain the park's history and a few of its named trees. I answer questions as we go and send a short note on the park's layout afterward.

This suits anyone who wants a calm green session between busier stops, and travellers who enjoy garden history. It works well mid-morning, before the heat of the day sets in.

Itinerary

  1. Welcome and sound check 5 min

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Malaga before heading out.

  2. The palm avenue 15 min

The camera moves along an avenue of tall palms planted in the late 19th century, and I explain how the park was built on land reclaimed from the old harbour road.

  3. A shaded bench row 15 min

You see a row of tiled benches under the palms, a common quiet spot for residents rather than visitors, and I point out the small plaques naming several of the park's oldest trees.

  4. Your questions 7 min

Time to ask anything about Malaga: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  5. A short list to keep 3 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Ajoblanco and Soho, worth a slower look.

Good to know

  • A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
  • Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
  • Times are shown in Madrid time, so check the time where you are before you book.
  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
  • Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 12 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
