Berlin viewpoints and parks, live on video
Highlights
- A park hill view over Berlin's rooftops
- Weekend parks the way locals use them
- The best time of day for each view
- Skyline picked out and explained on camera

About this tour
This session takes in two of Berlin's outdoor spaces, from a park hill with a view over the rooftops to a park where Berliners spend their weekends rather than tourists. The camera looks outward at the skyline first, then turns to everyday park life. Both stops focus on how the city looks and feels away from its monuments.
The call opens with a short sound check before moving between the two spots, leaving time for questions about what is on screen. A short list of the parks and the best times to visit them follows by message afterwards.
This suits anyone who wants a calmer side of Berlin than the historic centre, whether they are planning a visit or just want fresh air on screen for an hour. It also works for anyone who already knows the landmarks and wants to see how the city breathes.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide

- A short list of places to visit later

Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 5 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Berlin before heading out.
-
Park hill viewpoint 21 min
The first stop is a hill inside one of Berlin's parks, high enough to see rooftops stretch out in every direction. The guide explains why locals prefer this spot to the crowded, ticketed viewing platforms in the centre.
-
Weekend park 21 min
The second stop is a park where Berliners spend their weekends, with room to walk, sit or cycle rather than sightsee. The guide points out what is happening nearby and explains the best time of day to come back for the light.
-
Your questions 9 min
Time to ask anything about Berlin: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 4 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Königsberger Klopse and Kreuzberg, worth a slower look.
Good to know
- A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
- Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
- Times are shown in Berlin time, so check the time where you are before you book.
- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
- Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
- Sessions run in small groups, up to 12 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
