About this tour

This short session moves through two of Dublin's open spaces, from St Stephen's Green to the garden square at Merrion. The camera follows the park where office workers and students actually sit, then the Georgian Quarter's coloured doors framing the square beyond. Both stops focus on how locals use these spaces day to day.

After a brief sound check, the two stops run close together, with the guide taking questions about timing and light along the way. The whole call stays short, closer to a quick look than a full walking tour.

This suits anyone deciding when to fit a park or a square into a short Dublin visit, and anyone who simply wants a calm few minutes among Georgian doors and greenery. It also works as a quick check-in for someone who already knows the city.

Included

  • Live video walk with a local guide

Itinerary

  1. Welcome and sound check 5 min

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Dublin before heading out.

  2. St Stephen's Green 21 min

The camera moves through the Victorian park at the top of Grafton Street, and the guide points out the corners locals actually use to sit rather than the main paths.

  3. Merrion Square 21 min

In the Georgian Quarter, the camera looks across Merrion Square's garden toward its rows of brightly coloured doors, and the guide explains the best time of day for the light on them.

  4. Your questions 9 min

Time to ask anything about Dublin: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  5. A short list to keep 4 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Guinness and Georgian Quarter, worth a slower look.

Good to know

  • A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
  • Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
  • Times are shown in Dublin time, so check the time where you are before you book.
  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
  • Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 12 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
