About this tour

This session covers two sides of Munich's street art scene, from a wall of large murals to the quieter courtyards and side streets where smaller pieces hide. The camera moves from the obvious to the easy to miss. The guide explains who painted what and why, then leaves you with a route to follow on your own.

The call opens with a short sound check, then moves between the two stops with time for questions about any piece on screen. A short list of the artists and locations follows by message once the call ends.

This suits anyone interested in street art or in a side of Munich beyond the beer halls, whether planning a visit or simply curious from home. It also works for anyone who wants a route mapped out before exploring themselves.

Itinerary

  1. Welcome and sound check 5 min

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Munich before heading out.

  2. Street murals 21 min

The first stop is a wall covered in large murals, and the guide names the artists behind them and explains how each piece ended up on this particular building.

  3. Courtyards and side streets 21 min

The second stop moves into quieter courtyards and side streets most people walk straight past, and the guide gives honest tips for building your own art walk afterwards.

  4. Your questions 9 min

Time to ask anything about Munich: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.

  5. A short list to keep 4 min

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Munich Helles beer and Altstadt, worth a slower look.

Good to know

  • A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
  • Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
  • Times are shown in Berlin time, so check the time where you are before you book.
  • The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
  • Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
  • Sessions run in small groups, up to 12 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
