Anna Huber

Servus, I am Anna. I was born in Giesing, which is the Munich of the 1860 football club and small corner pubs, not the Munich of the postcards. My grandmother ran a Brotzeit stand at the Viktualienmarkt for thirty-one years, and I spent most Saturdays of my childhood cutting radishes into spirals behind her counter. After school I trained as a cook, worked in a Wirtshaus in Haidhausen and later in a restaurant in Bolzano, which is where my Italian comes from. I started guiding in 2017 because I missed talking to people while I cooked. On my tours I want you to eat and drink what Munich families actually eat: Weißwurst before noon, Obatzda with a proper Brezn, Leberkäs in a Semmel, and beer from the six old breweries in the right glass. I also have strong opinions about which beer gardens are for tourists. I will share them. My sessions now run live on video from Munich: I carry the phone, you watch from wherever you are and ask anything.
