Palma's rooftop bars, camera up
Highlights
- The cathedral seen from above
- Boats lit up at anchor
- Light changing right after sunset
- A terrace that stays under the radar
- Three views in one evening
About this tour
This session tours three of Palma's rooftop terraces, from one overlooking the cathedral to a seafront spot and a quieter corner bar. You see the old town roofline from above, the bay lit up at dusk, and a terrace that stays largely under the radar. Each view is different enough that they do not repeat.
We move between the three at a relaxed pace timed around the light, since the best moments come right around sunset. I keep the camera steady on the view during the quiet stretches and talk more while we walk between stops. Ask me anything about the neighbourhoods below as we go.
This suits evening viewers who want atmosphere and a view rather than a history-heavy session. It also works well paired with the Santa Catalina evening tour for a fuller night out.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide

- A short list of places to visit later

Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 7 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Palma de Mallorca before heading out.
-
Old town rooftop terrace 21 min
From up here the cathedral sits below eye level for once, lit against the evening sky. I point out how the roofline of the old town looks completely different from above than it does from the street.
-
Seafront rooftop bar 21 min
This terrace looks straight out over the bay, with boats lit up at anchor. I show you how the light changes over the water as the evening goes on, best in the twenty minutes right after sunset.
-
Quiet corner terrace 21 min
The last stop is smaller and quieter, mostly locals rather than visitors. I explain why this one stays under the radar despite the view, mostly because it does not advertise itself at all.
-
Your questions 14 min
Time to ask anything about Palma de Mallorca: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 6 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Ensaimada and Old Town, worth a slower look.
Good to know
- A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
- Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
- Times are shown in Madrid time, so check the time where you are before you book.
- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
- Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
- Sessions run in small groups, up to 8 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.
Questions about this tour
What will the session cover?
The guide walks through Palma de Mallorca, showing you Old town rooftop terrace and Seafront rooftop bar live on camera, plus whatever else you would like to see.
What happens if my connection drops?
Rejoin with the same link within a few minutes and the guide will catch you up on anything you missed.
Can I ask the guide questions during the session, or is it a fixed script?
Anything, any time. Sessions leave room for your own questions throughout, not just at the end.
Is this suitable if I do not drink?
Yes. Say so when you book and the guide will focus on the atmosphere and venues rather than the drinks list.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
