Street of the Knights, one inn at a time
Highlights
- Coats of arms carved above old doorways
- A street organised by nationality
- Worn cobbles from centuries of use
- Medieval inns still standing in a row
- The Knights' order explained street by street
About this tour
This short walk follows the Street of the Knights, the medieval street where different language groups within the Knights Hospitaller each kept their own inn. Kyriaki shows the worn cobbles and the coats of arms still visible above several doorways. She explains how the order organised itself by nationality within a single street.
Kyriaki checks her connection at the top of the street before walking down at an easy pace, pointing out specific facades and their carved emblems. She answers questions about the Knights' organisation as she goes. A short list of what was seen follows the call.
This suits travellers interested in medieval history and architecture who want a short, focused walk. It also pairs well with a session on the nearby Palace of the Grand Master.

- Sessions run in small groups, up to 12 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
