About this tour
This session moves through the old town's food streets, from the bakery windows of Schmiedgasse to a wine cellar built into the wall and back to the market square stalls. You see trays of schneeballen shaped around a wooden mould before I explain the Silvaner wine grown on the valley's terraced slopes. The walk ends at a stall selling onion tart, a dish tied to the region's autumn harvest.
We open with a short sound check outside the first bakery. I move slowly between the three stops, since there is a fair bit to explain about each one, and take questions throughout about the local produce. Afterwards I send a short list of what we saw with where to find it.
This suits anyone curious about Franconian food and wine beyond the usual pastry photos. It also works well as a lighter session alongside a longer history walk.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
