Korundi, a police station turned concert hall
Highlights
- A police station turned concert hall
- An unusual layout, explained
- Current exhibitions and concerts covered
- A museum worker's own perspective
- Programme notes sent after the call
About this tour
This call looks at Korundi House of Culture, a former police station now serving as a concert hall and art museum, drawing on my own background working in the city's museums. I explain how the original layout shaped what the building could become. We do not walk the building together, since this session is built as a conversation about it.
I open with the building's unusual history, then take your questions on the current exhibitions or concert programme, whichever interests you more. The call runs as a discussion rather than a fixed script. A short note on the current programme follows afterwards.
This suits anyone interested in adaptive reuse of old buildings or Rovaniemi's cultural scene beyond the more obvious sights. It also pairs well with the Arktikum session.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
