Swimming pools carved from the sea
Highlights
- Seawater pools built into the rock
- A design by the artist behind Lanzarote's landmarks
- A working port beside a public pool
- An early look before the crowds arrive
- Where locals actually go to swim
About this tour
This early call covers the seawater pools of Parque Marítimo César Manrique, designed by the same artist known for landmarks across Lanzarote. Pablo walks from the pools along the harbour promenade at Muelle Sur. The session shows how a working port and a public swimming spot sit side by side.
Pablo starts poolside with a short check of the light and sound. He moves at an easy pace along the harbour, answering questions about the design and the water as they come, and sends a short note on quieter times to visit.
It suits early risers and anyone deciding where to swim during a longer stay. Viewers interested in coastal design will also find the pools' history useful.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
