About this tour
This session leaves the citadel walls behind for a quieter walk along the Târnava Mare river. You follow the path down from the walls to the water, then along the riverside as the newer lower town spreads out on the far bank. The session stays close to the water throughout.
We open with a short sound check where the path meets the river. I keep a relaxed, easy pace and take questions about the town's layout as we go. Afterwards I send a short note on how the citadel and the river town grew apart over time.
This suits anyone wanting a calmer session away from the citadel's crowds. It also works well as a lighter finish after a longer history walk.

The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Sighisoara before heading out.

The camera follows the path down from the walls to the river, and I point out how the newer lower town spread along the banks over the last two centuries.

We walk along the water, and I explain how the citadel's hilltop position kept the old town safe from the river's regular floods.

Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Sarmale cu mămăligă (stuffed cabbage with polenta) and Orașul de Jos (Lower Town), worth a slower look.
