The square and the bridge after dark
Highlights
- The main square, lit up at night
- A bridge and its reflection after dark
- Two daytime spots, seen differently
- How the lighting changes both places
- Skopje's centre, after the sun sets
About this tour
This session shows two of Skopje's busiest daytime spots once the evening changes them completely. You see the main square's fountains lit up, then the Stone Bridge and its reflection on the river after dark. It stays within the city centre throughout.
I keep the pace relaxed since this is really about how the lighting changes both places, and I explain the practical side of how each is lit. Questions are welcome throughout.
This suits anyone deciding when to see the centre for the best atmosphere. It also suits anyone who has already visited both spots by day and wants to see them differently.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide
- Questions to your guide all the way
- A short list of places to visit later
Not included

-
Macedonia Square Fountains at Night 15 min
You see the square's fountains lit up once evening comes on, and I explain how differently the same space feels compared with its daytime crowds.
-
Stone Bridge at Night 15 min
The camera reaches the Stone Bridge once its lights come on, and I point out how the reflection on the river changes the view completely from its daytime version.
-

Time to ask anything about Skopje: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 3 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Ajvar and Karpoš, worth a slower look.
Good to know
- A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
- Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
- Times are shown in Skopje time, so check the time where you are before you book.
- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
- Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
- Sessions run in small groups, up to 10 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
