About this tour
This session follows the town's Shakespeare sites in the order a local would actually walk them, from the Henley Street house where he was born to the chancel of Holy Trinity where he is buried. Along the way the camera crosses Chapel Lane to the site of New Place, the house he bought once his plays had made him money. It is a history route built on three real buildings, not a highlight reel of quotations.
We start with a short sound check outside the house, then move stop by stop at an unhurried pace, pausing whenever a question comes in through the chat. Midway through I slow down at New Place so you can ask about the timeline before we move on. Afterwards I send a short list of the buildings and their dates so you can look anything up later.
It suits anyone who wants the Shakespeare story told through the actual streets rather than a summary. It works equally well for a first visit or for someone who has read the plays but never seen where they were written.

- Live video walk with a local guide

Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 7 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Stratford-upon-Avon before heading out.
-
Henley Street frontage 21 min
You see the timber-framed house from the street first, its jettied upper floor leaning slightly over the pavement, and I explain what changed when the building was restored in the 1860s.
-
Chapel Lane corner 21 min
The camera turns down a narrow lane where Shakespeare's family once owned the plot called New Place, now a garden, and I point out the surviving foundation lines set into the grass.
-
Holy Trinity nave 21 min
Inside the church I hold the phone steady on the chancel floor slab, and you can read the worn lettering of the inscription while I explain who is buried alongside him.
-
Your questions 14 min
Time to ask anything about Stratford-upon-Avon: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 6 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Sunday roast and Old Town, worth a slower look.

- Sessions run in small groups, up to 10 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
